The stakes are too high! We need to get everyone we know to vote early, even those we don’t normally talk about politics with. Here’s how:
🗣️Talk to your people face to face
Take an inventory of the spaces where you can talk with your friends, even the unlikely spaces. Talk to your friends directly, text them, call them. Studies show that our close friends and family are the most influential people in our lives. Your people need to hear from you. Potential conversation spaces:
Family Group Chat
Book Club
Pickleball Club, or other group sports activities
Fantasy Football Chat
Gym buddies
Church Group
Coffee shop friends
… you get the idea!
🛠️ Tips n’ tools for talking to friends about voting:
Don’t make the conversation about political parties or any specific politician. Talk to people about their right to vote and about the power their vote gives them to make life more affordable, to give their loved ones access to better schools, bright futures and more opportunities.
Don’t fall into ideological traps. This isn’t about voter fraud or which party is more corrupt. This is about us, the people, and our right to cast a vote freely.
Remember, our voting systems in California are some of the absolute strongest and we have the power to make sure everyone eligible to vote has the opportunity to vote. We shouldn’t let outside forces take away the system we have built and fought for.

Friends,
I know we may not talk about this stuff often, but I wanted to share with you all how important it is to vote early and encourage as many others as possible to do the same.
There have been an increasing number of attempts this year to weaken our right to vote and make it more difficult for people cast their ballot. Our vote is our voice, and regardless of what political party you belong to or what politician you support, I think it is incredibly important that everyone who is eligible to vote has the freedom and opportunity to do so.
